Welcome Message

We are pleased to welcome you to the Kenyatta University Digital Learning platform. This interactive platform seeks to facilitate and enhance online learning from anywhere, anytime at your own schedule and pace. The platform addresses the needs of students registered in Face to Face (Full time/Part-time), Virtual and Open Learning (VOL) and Blended Learning (For Continuing Education Programmes)

Get Ready

If this is the first blended learning course you have ever taken using moodle, then I strongly urge you to do at least one of the following:

  1. Attend one of the on-campus “Student online Orientation” sessions held during orientations every trimester or during face to face sessions.  

  2. Review the information provided in the online “Student Orientation guide at the Digital School website” site

  3. Check out the Readiness Self-assessment Questionnaire  and the Online Student Readiness Tutorials

 Access to Your Course Site

To access or log in to your online course site in Moodle:

  1. Go to the Moodle webpage (kusoma.ku.ac.ke/)

  2. Log in by typing in the last part of your registration number e.g.  (4444/2018) as the username for continuing students and (4444.2020) as the username for 2019 - 2020 students (New students)

  3. The default password is 1234 when accessing the system for the very first time. You will be prompted to change it to your prefered password as shown below.

  1. Type the current password which is 1234

  2. Type your new password

  3. Save the changes

  4. Click on Dashboard to see your registered courses

  5. Click on any of the courses to start reading and doing assignments.

  • If you have problems accessing or logging into the system (LMS):
